Kendra and Tom

February 21st, 2013

Kendra and Tom’s wedding was so fun!  Lots of pink and green and lots of love to go around.  Kendra was very hands on throughout the whole planning process and it really showed on the day of the wedding.  Everything was so fluid and seamless and went so well together.  From the handmade flags that Kendra’s mother put together, to the smallest detail on the centerpiece that Kendra and Tom scoured flea markets for, every last detail of their wedding was put together perfectly.  It made for a wonderfully romantic and special day that Laura Mahony Photography captured flawlessly. Enjoy!

Until next time! XO

Julia and Elias

February 21st, 2013

We absolutely loved this wedding.  Julia and Elias are so full of life, and really valued tradition, family and their love.  They had such a strong sense of what they wanted to accomplish their vision of ethereal elegance and, we must say, they nailed it.  We loved their energy and excitement and the lovely pictures from Josh Neil Photography tell the lovely tale of Julia and Elias’ beautiful day.

Until next time! XO

Sarah and Jordan

January 31st, 2013

Sarah and Jordan! We just loved their wedding.  It was recently featured on Style Me Pretty  and we couldn’t have been happier to be able to get to work with a couple as happy, warm and extremely kind as Sarah and Jordan are.  Their use of color and DIY projects for their wedding was, in our opinion, what made it such an ideal Rocky Mountain wedding.

Here are a couple teaser shots, provided by Paper Antler.  Aren’t they the best! We certainly fell in love with their amazing skills.

We hope you will all check out the full gallery of shots on the Style Me Pretty blog (linked above), and fall as madly in love with color as we are!

XO

Brooke and Jeff

January 18th, 2013

Brooke and Jeff’s wedding was one of our favorites. Ever.  We loved the colors, and the personality that they brought to everything!  From there patterned fabric they used, to the collection of vintage decanters that we used for the floral arrangements, their attention to detail and flexibility with everything made their wedding such a pleasure to work on.

We think their pictures speak for themselves, what do you think?

What can we say about Jessica and Roger….. well, for starters, they are just about the cutest couple you could meet!  Their vibrant and carefree personalities and true kindness made  their wedding a complete joy to work on!  They are both so creative in their own rights that they also had so many ideas to bring to the table about the look they wanted and what would ultimately make their wedding unique to them.  The day was hot, but you couldn’t even tell on their faces, because their happiness of the day made the long hours of planning and the heat so worth while!  I think I’ll let the pictures really speak for themselves, because, as with so many weddings we do, words can’t really capture true love,  true happiness and true beauty. Enjoy!!!

Well, well, well….

June 20th, 2012

Guess who was featured on Style Me Pretty, not once, but TWICE, in one month??  That’s right, Sweet Pea Flowers! That is pretty exciting news for us and we wanted to share it with you all!

The first feature was for a wedding we did last year for a great couple, Nicole and Gregory.  All the details that went into this wedding were so wonderful because they had such a tie to the couple and their heritage as well as their love for vintage pieces and the outdoors.  You can check it out here. Also make sure to click on the full gallery for some more little tidbits of beauty captured by the wonderful Autumn Burke of Autumn Burke Photography!

The second feature was a fantastic photo shoot in collaboration with some of my favorite vendors in Denver!  The shoot, called “Water for Elephants” , (inspired by the movie, yes)… was full of tangerine dreams and great, creative energy!  I like to do photo shoots whenever I can as it gives me the opportunity to collaborate with some friends, old and new, and also because I get to be as creative as I can be to fit within the theme!  You can check out this feature here.

Ah! Such a good year so far!  Our wedding season is in full swing, as well! So we are keeping very, very busy! But, I will make sure to post updates and blog posts as I get the pictures! We’re already so excited to get the pictures from the weddings we’ve already done this year to share with you! We are pretty excited about what is to come!

Until next time,

XO LIsa

By the way….

May 9th, 2012

We are on Martha Stewart’s Blog!!!  Check it out!

Last summer, we had the pleasure of doing the flowers for Sarah and Jordan, a great couple that had great ideas for their wedding!  Lead mostly by Sarah, their wedding was a vision of classic beauty, where ethereal vintage was the main focus of the day!

Needless to say, it was a lovely day with lovely personal touches and we are so incredibly proud to have been a part of it, and even more excited that it made its way onto Martha’s blog :)  Congrats again to Sarah and Jordan!

Until next time! XO

Winter break! In April…..

April 20th, 2012

Even though this shoot took place in February….I think we could all use a reminder of how much we love the sunshine :)  But also how much we all really really love winter weddings and winter photo shoots in the gorgeous Colorado Rockies!!!

This shoot was the brain child of Casidy McNaly of Meohmy Design and Michelle Lemley of Michelle Lemley Photography! The location was my family cabin located in beautiful Frisco Colorado in Rocky Mountain National Forest. The beautiful bundt cakes were provided by The Bundt Shoppe.  The model was a friend of Casidy’s – Kelsey Vernon and her hair and make-up were done by Stacy Stender. The dress was provided by Blue Bridal.

I believe these pictures (courtesy of Michelle Lemley Photography and Ashley Poskin of Ding-a-ling Vintage) really capture just how much fun you can have dressing and decorating for a winter wedding.  It also makes me want a cup of hot chocolate from that hot chocolate bar – even in 75 degree heat!

I hope you enjoy!

Until next time!!  XO

Why yes, yes indeed!

That’s right everyone!  I was invited to be apart of the fabulous institution that is Grace Ormonde!!  WOO HOO!!!

This has been such a huge honor for me, mostly because I admire what Grace Ormonde has accomplished in her career and because of how great a business they are, but also that such a huge “empire” would recognize me, and what I have accomplished in my career!  It is a huge morale booster and huge compliment! We have started this advertising with GO, in hopes that my exposure will extend nationally.  It has always been a dream of mine to work nationally and to experience weddings throughout the country (and maybe even the world!).  Keep your eyes open for some updates on when I may appear in the magazine and also on their online website!

2012 continues to prove that it is going to be an incredible and adventurous year!  Keep your eyes and ears open for a brand new portfolio, brand new faces on the website and fabulous wedding pictures coming your way!!

Until next time! XO
